Hungry for experiences? Take part in world's first Hapticathon co-organised by Programa™
The possibilty of feeling textures, shapes and dynamics on the surface of the device sounds like a future. Well, it is not - these things are happening now. You can try it at world's first Hapticathon organised by Programa™ and White Ducky. We invite coders working in the Android environment, humanists, designers, neuroscientists and all enthusiasts of new technologies to get together on May 9-10 in Concordia Design and take part in these event.
During the Hapticathon we will design and build applications that make use of haptics to enrich the interaction with devices with the sense of touch. What is important - we have a prototype of a device - Tpad - using ultrasonic haptic technology on its surface. It was produced by Tangible Haptics and made available to us by Microsoft Research.
Through experimentation and search for new applications for the haptic technology we will find out how we’ll be interacting with screens in the future, buying online, or touching at a distance. We truly believe that during Hapticathon you will create something amazing!
